The Kappa Gamma Psi Summer 2010 Convention Schedule and Reminder!
Convention is only a week away! (July 23rd-July 26th, 2010)
With that in mind, we present a preview of events, followed by the
schedule and addresses.
Outings Preview:
================
On Saturday, we'll be going to the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA to the
locals). From the newly-built Art of the Americas building to the
much-honored Egyptian gallery, the MFA is truly one of the museum
world's giants. The museum hosts numerous touring exhibits and thousands
of permanent pieces. The highlight of a recent visit is the outstanding
musical instruments collection. Some 1100 instruments strong, it
contains unusual and beautiful examples from all over the world.
The Tea Leaf is a cozy Victorian-style tearoom
in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Proprieter Sally serves wonderful teas, sweets and tasty sandwiches.
The Afternoon tea
provides a chance to sample various goodies in the traditional style -
well worth taking advantage of. Available for sale are many exotic teas,
clothing, candles, and accessories. And there's really nothing like
scones with clotted cream
and jam. Just trust us on this. Vegetarians and vegans, never fear,
just be sure to tell us early so we can arrange alternatives.
Prospect Hill Park is one of the Boston area's great open spaces. It covers 250 acres in Waltham, MA.
A former ski area, this lovely green space has walking trails and
picnic areas aplenty. A great view of Boston can be found, we're told,
for those willing to climb a bit. We're hoping to have a relaxing
meeting, and this seems like just the place!

FRIDAY:
5:00pm - 6:30pm - Welcome and dinner prep
6:30pm - 11:00pm - Dinner at Ian and Polina's apartment
SATURDAY:
12:00pm - 4:45pm - Museum of Fine Arts outing
4:45pm-6:30pm - Traveling back to Waltham/dinner prep
6:30pm-8:00pm - Dinner at Ian and Polina's apartment
8:00pm - 11:00pm - Open mic in the community room at 80 Hope Avenue.
SUNDAY:
12:00pm - 3:00pm - Lunch at the "Tea Leaf"
3:00pm - 6:00pm - Meeting Block 1 - Prospect Hill Park
7:00pm - 11:00pm - Dinner/Movies/Games at Polina and Ian's apartment
MONDAY:
12:00pm-3:00pm - Meeting Block II and Lunch at Polina and Ian's
apartment
3:00pm-5:00pm - Ice Cream and Farewell (location TBD)
